ADVENTURES WITH PURPOSE RESPONSE TO THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC

GLOBAL CONCERN

Being in the business of travel, of course this period has presented some unexpected material challenges. However, the Adventures with Purpose team are all safe and well and in this regard exceptionally fortunate. Our concern is with the extreme physical, emotional and material suffering this is bringing individuals, families and communities everywhere. We think in particular of friends, colleagues and communities globally whose livelihood and business are severely impacted by this.

CURRENT SITUATION

Planned inter-continental trips for this period have been postponed for now, we have had great co-operation from our clients. Nobody knows when it will be safe to travel freely despite some ‘travel corridors’ within Europe or North America during the summer vacation season. We anticipate initial bilateral agreements between countries and territories giving rise to an asymmetrical, dynamic and uncertain near future for anyone wishing to travel soon. In a few months we expect there to be some sort of digital passport or ability to travel to safe countries with pre-clearance from medical professionals. This is currently the situation with private travel to some Pacific Islands where overseas visitors are welcome to select private islands with strict pre-medical clearance protocols. Some clients have expressed interest in such travel and we stand by to offer guidance in this regard.

What existing and future guests can be assured of is this. Adventures with Purpose, since its inception, has been at the forefront of exclusive, private travel to some of the most beautiful and indeed remote parts of our world. We have always done this with sensitivity to sustainability and responsibility to nature and at our foundations is risk management, both physical and medical. We will augment our usual industry-leading physical, activity and medical risk management components in the future with a particular attention to infection control. Above all, we listen to what our clients desire. We believe that all of these elements in the future will become more paramount. This places Adventures with Purpose in an optimal position to deliver these discerning client requirements in the future. ONGOING MONITORING

We are monitoring and maintaining a database of which countries are safe to travel to at any particular time, closely liaising with remote operations partners getting their frequent updates. With our medical professional risk-management partners we remain abreast of the latest advances in what requirements will be needed for our guests to travel safely as soon as possible.
